This project draws on the series Pits and Holes (2023-24), and the Desert, Sands (2019-2022), a personal exploration of identity. Patched Nature is a metaphor – just like me, stitched and searching for meaning, nature too, though wounded and polluted, still holds the source of life. Beneath layers of skin, sand, and waste, the blue of water and sky emerges. A reminder to care for nature as we care for ourselves.
